“truly historic spa & resort”
Indian Springs Art Gallery shows contemporary artists and features figurative and abstract pieces. Guy Pederson is the resident artist.
Beautiful, stunning property: pool and rooms, but strange misses: only one staff member seemed up to snuff - a nice kid cleaning around the pool and straightening all the bikes beautifully. The rest were frankly not good at hospitality. They didn't return passing hellos or smiles. They didn't ask how my stay was when I checked out. The lanyard my room key was on stank like some kind of axe body spray (and was visibly dirty) and kept getting this cheap man smell on me, and my bathroom was extraordinarily hairy (and not my hair)! So much hair on the floors! It appeared to have been mopped, but not mopped UP. At $480/night I didn't expect to be tippy toeing around the shower trying to rinse down the mobile hairs from a stranger. I would have spent more money at the hotel (at the spa, gift shop, restaurant) if I felt like anyone cared for my comfort. I'll still be back someday and not check in after midnight, when it's too late to deal with a hairy room. The pool was DIVINE. The hotel's vibe felt a bit like The Parker in Palm Springs. In fact, the managers should go there and check it out for tips. Four Seasons too, since they're charging those prices. I couldn't decide between 3 and 4 stars and settled on 3 because of the price to comfort ratio. If it were either cheaper or cleaner, I'd have given it 4.
