“Enjoy the Deathly Silence of the Rolling Hills!”
The roar of ATVs and off-road motorcycles combines with the peacefulness of rolling hills at Finger Lakes State Park, one of two ATV parks in the state parks system. Built in a former coal mining area, Finger Lakes’ trails and motocross track are popular with users who come for the day, but often fall under the spell of the spacious campground, leafy trees and hilly terrain. The park is also the site of the challenging 2.25-mile Kelley Branch Mountain Bike Trail and a 4.5-mile water trail. Finger Lakes State Park offers 19 basic and 16 electric campsites. On-season (April through October) services include reservable campsites, a dump station, showers and water. Current nightly camping fees can be found through Camping Fees on the right or by clicking here. The campground is open and reservable year-round. For weekend reservations, there is a required two-night minimum stay of Friday/Saturday. Water to the campground is shut off and the showerhouse is closed during the off-season (November through March). Potable water is available at the park office. To view campsite details, photos and availability, continue on to the reservation website. From there, you can select your desired dates and facility to begin the search. An absolutely beautiful park! I stayed here with my dog and was impressed with how maintained everything was, as well as how much wilderness it had. Before we even reached our campsite we saw a beaver! Wish I could've had more time to really explore the trails. It was pretty close to Mizzou too which was a bonus.
Peaceful and serene, but the guy wouldn't let me in to look around b/c it was close to sunset, so can't say much more than it seemed very peaceful. There is a shooting range nearby so that was very distracting for me.
