Great place to go. A ton of information that gives you a good feel at how big of an undertaking the Titanic was. One cool thing they do is give you a boarding pass of a passenger on the ship. At the end of the attraction you can see whether your passenger survived or not. Check Groupon for deals, which they do occasionally.
Very neat. My teenager , 5 year old, and 7 year old enjoyed it. So did my husband and I, as well. And learned a few things!
Went here back in March and had a wonderful time. You really get a feel of what it was like to have been a passenger on the Titanic. Has some artifacts recovered from the debris field. Photos aren't allowed inside the museum so if you decide to try and sneak some, do it at your own risk.
A must see! We did not expect this to be as well done as it was. Our 13 and 10 year olds loved this as much as my husband and I did. They give you audio devices to wear around your neck to get additional information as you walk through. We all learned something we didn't know. So much history.. After you're done, go to the Local Goat restaurant down the street...delicious and all fresh made food on premises.
Pricey but so so worth the experience!
I have no idea why this museum is in eastern Tennessee, but I can’t imagine a better Titanic Museum exists. It’s huge and parts of it are interactive. You can put your hands in freezing water and walk up the angled boat floor. The staff are dressed in period clothes and the different parts of the museum are made to look like the sections of the ship. There’s an audio tour that comes with a version for kids as well as adults. Although I took an 11 year old and she found a lot of it boring. As an adult who is usually bored by historical museums (and hates the Titanic movie), I was blown away. A little expensive, but better than 90% of the other tourist traps in the area. The only thing I didn’t really like is the gift shop because the way they were monetizing this tragedy comes off a little gross.
Way too expensive for basically a kids adventure. They herd you in like cattle while you listen to recordings and look at pictures you can get off internet.
The Titanic Museum is hands-down the most worthwhile thing to see in Pigeon Forge. Lots of genuine relics are displayed throughout along with the guided audio tour. The museum also hosts fun events, like the outdoor showing of Titanic the movie. It is important to note that they usually let groups in at specific times so be sure to check ahead to make sure you don't have to wait at the door.
An awe inspiring museum. 6 and 7 years olds both loved it. Kids get their own special "remote" to listen to the kids version of the self guided tour and adults get separate ones (I loved this because I didn't have to try to read a bunch of signs to my impatient littles).
