Falls Creek Falls holds a special place in my heart, being my family has been going here for our family reunions for over 30 years. It's got tons to do, like swimming, hiking, fishing, golfing and just general natural bliss. If you visit I highly suggest going to the Cascade Falls, it's the best for swimming and general recreation, and there's a cool rope bridge that crosses over!
Fantastic hiking for waterfall lovers in TN. Cane Creek Falls is the standout to me, beyond Piney or Fall Creek Falls. Definitely do the cable trail to the base of Cane Creek, but be warned - it is VERY steep and intense!
This place is very pretty. Just wish I had a little more time to explore it when I was there.
One of our favorites. Nice golf course in the park. Excellent campgrounds and lodge with restaurant. Close to Chattanooga and the tourist attractions there, including a wonderful aquarium. Short drive de to Burgess Falls and Rock Island State Parks, which both have magnificent waterfalls. The model railroader's display in nearby Cookeville is well worth a stop. Free, but worth a donation.
There are actually lots of waterfalls here, including the utterly massive Fall Creek Falls. You can do a lot of swimming here, so bring a towel, a bathing suit, and water shoes. The hike down was really steep, but doable for me, and I'm a total couch potato.
