“near Santa Margarita Lake”
Unplug, unwind and leave the city lights behind at "the best-kept secret on the Central Coast" of California. Carved into the hills of 69 acres, this rustic KOA offers good old-fashioned camping for every taste and budget, from dirt to deluxe. Expect dusty roads and sites, uneven terrain, insects and steep stairs to restrooms. Savor the peace and quiet, views and shade. Dark, cool nights are great for campfires, s’mores and stargazing. Days are perfect for nature-lovers, birders, hikers and bikers. Boat, fish, kayak, zip-line and horseback ride nearby. Enjoy the pool, disc golf, Party Yurt, Jumping Pillow and free Wi-Fi. Visit Hearst Castle, Morro Bay and nearby beaches, hot springs, missions and wineries. Memorial to Labor Day: Enjoy Saturday crafts, water-balloon volleyball, rocket launching, hayrides and bingo. Pool: May 1 – October 31. Max pull thru: 70 feet. Your hosts: Rex & Karen Jacobsma.
A hidden gem! Loved this place. It's very quiet and the wildlife around here is spectacular. Also, don't be surprised to find ferrel cats among your campsite at night.
