Great shade for tent campers, super clean sites and restrooms, great for pets! The tent campsites were kind of awkwardly set up but workable.
campground is very nice. stayed here fro 2 nights. personnel were very nice and helpful. if you can deal with the trains going by, right next to campground, but not that bad, it is pretty quiet. sites are pretty good size and have a concrete patio and a wrought iron patio furniture. would stay here again and plan on bringing the grand kids to do some site seeing. pool was closed, didn't check out the restrooms. office area very nice.
It is a nice campground especially if you are just passing through. Staff were very nice and helpful. WiFi was ok. Bathrooms were clean. They have fresh baked pizza that you can order and they will deliver it to your campsite. Sites were a little closer than I like and it looked like our neighbors were there long term. Gravel sites need minimal leveling. There was some noise from trains and planes that are passing close by. I would stay there if I was passing through again.
Noisy area for tent camping - We had cars driving behind the tent, trains nearby and apparently an airport not too far away. We had to check-in after hours and they had it well organized and easy to do.
Owners are so rude. They demanded we pay $5 for every visitor. We were more than willing to pay. They yelled at us, told us they didn't care about our business, and charged us for all the nights even though we left a day early. Sad because we stay in Springfield a lot because we lived there for 38 years. Time to find a new place.
