Natural Wonder
Our Take
What truly sets Acadia apart from other National Parks is its close ties to the surrounding community, making it especially ideal for cultural travelers. The park encompasses several towns, which means that you're never far from a wide variety of restaurants and places to stay. And, as outdoorsy visitors know, there are lots of great trails, including some awesome vertical ascents such as the Beehive. For a quick taste of Acadia, the park has a great park loop road. Looking for a quieter trip? Spend more time on the west side of Mt. Desert Island.
