Sapphire valley is a family oriented resort. The amenities are dated but clean & during the summer they offer full and half day camps for kids for a reasonable price if parents want to have some adult time for a bit. The summertime is. Great time to go since most amenities are open including putt- putt, indoor & outdoor pool, small arcade, golfing, wading in the creek & many other scenic, outdoor activities around- including hiking. It is about 5 miles away from Cashiers, NC, which has many restaurants, a beautiful playground & nature walking trail for the kids. The area is beautiful.
