“awesome vietnamese cafe!”
We open at 9am for coffee. Food is not served until 11am. 1) Do your Lang Thang! 2) Flow with the Go! We serve the following items: Pho (Vietnamese noodle soup) Banh Mi (Vietnamese baguette sandwiches) Bun Thit Nuong (rice vermicelli with grilled meats) Com Tam Thit Nuong (broken rice with grilled meats) Goi Cuon (fresh Vietnamese spring rolls) Cha Gio (Vietnamese egg rolls) Cafe Sua Da (Iced coffee with condensed milk)
Pho Lang Thang is a big Cincinnati favorite of mine for lunches. Pretty much everything on the menu is solid, and it's always fresh, crisp and well balanced. A rare healthy treat among so many blinkered local restaurants in Cincy that seem to think good food starts and ends with bacon or stuff like duck fat. Not say I don't love bacon and duck fat, but enough is enough everyone.. I've never even seen duck on a menu here, just duck fat 'something'. Anyway, yeah. Pho Lang Thang, do it!
Pho Lang Thang makes the best tofu I’ve ever had. If my fate was to eat their bun chay—vermicelli-style rice noodles with tofu—every day for lunch, I would accept my fate gladly, so long as I could order extra tofu. (To be honest, there may have been a week or two where I have almost done this, but only because they’re closed on Mondays.)
Can't say I've ever been disappointed here. I've only had the bahn mi and the bun thit nuong, but both are delicious. Recommend getting the fried spring roll added to the bun thit nuong.
Love Pho Lang Thang, they are always bustling with action and for good reason this place is awesome. I'm partial to the Bahm Mi but they also have a full menu of other Vietnamese classics. A nice change a pace to the usual burger and sand which place.
Recently become a addiction of mine after slowly warming to some of the flavors. Now I can't get enough of it. If you are nearby but can't make it they also offer delivery for lazy bums like myself.
Pho Lang Thang was my first foray in to pho. It is quite good. I like rice, so what could be wrong with rice noodles? The selection is wide, and delicious. I was surprised by the relishes at first. I thought "Oh green peppers, that's nice." They turned out to be jalepeños. Delish, nonetheless.
The only negative thing I can say about this place is that it's closed on Mondays and I always crave it at the beginning of the work week. Their noodle bowls and sandwiches are the best.
For my money, the best lunch spot in Findlay Market. Noodle salads delicious. They make great noodle salads.
I agree with Jsmibert, really fresh and simple flavors and a good portion. I try to get here every week, as it's a great lunch that won't put you in a food coma for the afternoon. Right outside of Findlay Market, prices are reasonable ($8ish for a medium, two meat pho)
I wouldn't call myself a Bahn Mi expert, but maybe just a connoisseur. This place has super flavorful tofu, with a perfect flakey roll. It's not real Bahn Mi if the roll doesn't make a mess and this definitely passes the test.
