“Turn your world upside down!”
The Oregon Vortex is a glimpse of a strange world where the improbable is the commonplace and everyday physical facts are reversed. It is an area of naturally occurring visual and perceptual phenomena, which can be captured on film. No matter your education or profession you will find a challenge to all your accepted theories. Open Every Day! Seven Days a Week. The Oregon Vortex is a roadside attraction located in Gold Hill, Oregon, in the United States. It consists of a number of interesting effects which skeptics believe to be optical illusions, but which the attraction's proprietors propose are the result of paranormal properties of the area. According to the locals, a gold assay office built in the area in 1904 slid from its foundation in the early teens, coming to rest at an odd angle. Odd angles seem to create an illusion of objects seemingly rolling uphill. The same effect can be seen in Pennsylvania's Laurel Caverns and at Santa Cruz, California's Mystery Spot. Oregon Vortex is also famous for "height change" as the relative height of the two people changes varying on where they stand. It also shares similar properties with the mystery spot located outside St.Ignace in the upper peninsula of Michigan. The effects are interestingly similar.
Went here as a kid. Was an awesome, mind-boggling place that forever lives in my memory!
Loved the mystery house, very fun with kids. It was a little spendy for a 45 minute tour though :/ $45 for family of four.
Def weird! We felt "off" all day after leaving there. Not sure why but it was pretty cool to see. Pretty interesting
This was really fun. My kids loved it. Similar to the mystery spot on Santa Cruz but I would go here again.
I thought there was more to this place...We were sure if we had my father in law who is super freaking intelligent along he would have debunked the whole thing, but we were suckers and went for the ride. It's interesting if you've never been to a place like this before but you still have to wonder if it's true/real...but that's the Mystery, I suppose.
theres one right near mt. rushmore also
Mystery Hill in Boone, NC...interesting they all have the word "mystery" attached to them ;)
There's a place in Santa Cruz California like this too...it's called the Mystery Spot.

I decided to go here in the heat of the moment one Tuesday afternoon. My brother and I had a pretty bad time though.
