“step back in time”
Step back in time and experience Choctaw Nation before statehood at the Peter Conser Home. Peter Conser was a Choctaw Lighthorseman and later a representative and senator to the Choctaw Council. He is well-known for both his organization and wisdom. His home, kept in the family until it was donated to the Oklahoma Historical Society, is now mostly restored to its former state when occupied by Peter and his family—the beds are made with care, the table is set for dinner and the fireplace is ready for use. Come explore the Peter Conser Home and learn how Conser and his fellow lighthorsemen dealt with Choctaw lawbreakers.
