“final resting place of the reno gang”
The cemetery has some noteriety about it. The Reno Brothers (Frank, William, and Simeon) of what history refers to as the "Reno Gang" that committed what was reported to be the first "Great Train Robbery" in the US just outside of Seymour, are buried here. There's an article on the Reno Gang on Wikipedia. There is an extensive list of submissions below, almost all of them the work of Ms. Marilyn Judd from 1980. We unfortunately have no current contact information for Ms. Judd. Included with the original submission was a section that had the following disclaimer (I have taken the liberty of correcting a couple of spellings): "The following list was found in W. Judd's belongings with no known compiler or date that it was made. It had all of the above listed names plus the following which could be some of the missing stones. Warning: Use with caution!!".
Please don’t go out of your way more than 5-10 minutes. They say the Reno gang isn’t even really buried here.
